Career Visions - Digital Design

Courses in the Digital Design Program cover the field of graphic design with a focus on digital media. Participants explore visual thinking, concept skills, composition, and typography with a focus on new media outlets and applications.

Participants can expect to:
• Develop broad design skills for a professional career

Upon successful completion of the program, participants will be able to demonstrate a high level of design skill, technical proficiency and self-motivation. Participants will have the basic tools with which they can start their own Web design business, create their own corporate communications materials and have a working knowledge of the most popular design-related and online software available in today’s market.

Ability to demonstrate basic essential skills such as, reading, writing, listening

General Computer; 6 credit hours
Photoshop Basics; 1.25 credit hours
Illustrator Basics; 2.5 credit hours
Digital Photography; 1.25 credit hours
Design and composition; 3.75 credit hours
Professional Development; 6 credit hours
4 Electives; totaling no more than 10 credit hours

All design courses accredited by DETC(Distance Education & Training Council) in Washington, DC.
